The Derbyshire Support and Advice for Men (SAM) project is funded by The Home Office and provided by North Derbyshire Women's Aid. We are keen to provide a specific service for male victims of domestic abuse and are clear that it should be a service distinct from current female service provision.

SAM is funded to provide a county wide service through the telephone helpline, offering support and information to callers along with this website, which offers the option to access support via an email system which will allow men to write in anonymously, if required.

Outreach workers are available to meet with victims at a safe place near to their local area if required and when appropriate, to provide ongoing support and advice. This service is available in Chesterfield, North East Derbyshire and Bolsover. Please call the helpline to make a referral.

Floating support workers are available to support and advise on issues such as tenancy sustainment, benefits and housing issues.

Refuge is also available to men fleeing domestic abuse.

Please call the helpline to make a referral for any of the above.
